Bush Away
Last updated August 2026
This policy covers Bush Away and the booking system it uses, which is provided by Trendstec. When you book or telephone, Bush Away sees your details because they need them to hold your room and let you in. Contact them at info@trendstec.com.
Trendstec provides software that answers business telephone calls, books appointments, sends confirmations and reminders, and manages a business listing on the owner's behalf. Our customers are businesses. This policy covers both those businesses and the members of the public who contact them.
We do not ask for, and the system is instructed never to discuss, clinical or medical detail. Where a caller raises something clinical the software declines and refers them to a qualified person at the business.
Where a customer connects their Google Business Profile, Trendstec's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
One scope only — business.manage. We request no other Google
scope, and we do not read Gmail, Drive, Calendar or Contacts.
Disconnecting Google in your settings revokes our access token with Google immediately and deletes the listing and review data we hold. Nothing is retained afterwards.
Calls to a business using Trendstec may be recorded and transcribed so the owner can check what was said and what was booked. Recordings are stored by our voice provider and streamed to the business owner on request; they are not published, sold, or shared. A caller may ask the business to delete a recording of their call.
We send booking confirmations, reminders and, where permitted, follow-up messages. Every marketing message can be stopped: reply STOP to a text, or use the unsubscribe link in an email. Opting out is recorded per channel — asking us to stop texting does not stop a booking confirmation you need, and asking us to stop everything stops everything.
To ask for a copy of your data, or its deletion, contact the business you dealt with, or write to us and we will pass it on.
Data is processed and stored in the United States and the European Union by our hosting and communications providers. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it, and access is limited to staff who need it.
Deposits and payments are processed by Paystack, a licensed payment provider. We never see, handle or store your card number. It is entered on Paystack's own page and stays with them; we receive only the amount, the outcome, the method used, and a reference.
Money is split at Paystack and paid directly to the business you booked with. Trendstec's commission is deducted at that point. We do not hold your payment at any stage.
Refunds and cancellations are handled by the business you booked with, under the terms shown to you at the time of booking. Our Terms and Conditions set out how that works.
When you book, we store your name, the contact details you gave, your dates, what you booked and what it cost. The business you booked with sees all of it, because they need it to hold your room and to let you in.
Identity checks for accommodation are done in person on arrival by the property, as South African law requires of them. We do not collect or store identity documents.
Where a business has connected its Facebook Page or Instagram account, we receive the messages and comments you send to that business, so it can reply. We use them for that purpose only. We do not post as you, read your profile beyond your public name and picture, or use anything from Meta for advertising.
To have this data deleted, remove the app from your Facebook settings, or email info@trendstec.com with the word DELETE. Meta also sends us an automatic deletion request when you remove the app, and we act on it without you having to do anything else.
Under South Africa's POPIA you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email info@trendstec.com and we will answer within 30 days.
You can stop marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to a text, or using the unsubscribe link in any email. That does not stop booking confirmations, which are not marketing and which you need.
